Reaching the one year old milestone is a great reason to party! Not only is it one of the biggest milestones for your baby, but let’s face it: you as a parent have survived a whole year. And that is a big deal. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse for one of my favorite things: cake smash photos. These make fun and thoughtful wall art and gift options for family members.
How cute is this little Pooh Bear?! Summit had so much fun playing in his cake. Although I’m not sure he was too big a fan of actually eating it, he definitely enjoyed making a mess of his cake smash and has the pictures to prove it.
You guys – I love shooting in my studio but I also love photographing outdoors! These sessions are a great option if you want a low contact session (I’m 6 feet away!). I’m also happy to wear a mask on top of that to help you feel more comfortable.
Our session was regionally a spring mini. Although it didn’t quite happen like we thought it would, I am happy we were able to do the session outdoors!
There’s something indescribably awesome about twin babies. You can see immediately that they share an incredible bond with one another. As you look at their photos, you can almost feel their special relationship.
These little babies spent most of the session asleep, and they were very content to snuggle up against each other. I suppose they’re used to being near each other from the womb!
I hope you enjoy these incredible photos of these adorable TWIN BOYS!
It’s been more than 4 months since Covid-19 turned our worlds upside down. So many things have changed in such a short amount of time and all of us are trying to adjust to a new normal. With the mask mandate still in place, an outdoor newborn session is the perfect option for families. I wanted to share a few images and talk about what to expect during an outdoor newborn session.
There’s so much I could say on this topic. I think you already know it’s important, but there are a ton of excuses holding you back. It’s never the right time, the kids won’t cooperate, you’re waiting to lose the weight, buy a new outfit, get your hair done, etc., etc. I’ve told myself all of these things. Just for once I want you to ignore all of that and do it anyway. For them. Even if they whine, complain, make funny faces, or cry. Do it anyway. And keep trying. Make it a tradition. You’ll be so grateful you did. I promise!

Cake smash photography has become a popular trend for babies turning one year old. All babies react differently to this new sensation- eating sugar, getting messy, and playing with cake. It is fun to watch!
Mom brought a long her preemie photo to share with her first birthday! Check out the sweet moments below!
Cake smash sessions are best done around 11 months, please book well in advance if possible as I only offer a few per month.
